Any website or free software to track my passive income ?
Every once in a while, I wonder what my passive income is. So I take a piece of scratch paper, write down my sources of passive income, guess what my passive income is from each source. I only guess because I don't want to spend time on it knowing that I will throw away that scratch paper within a week or so. For example, on promissory notes, I know what the monthly payments are. But the income is less than the monthly payment, since part of that payment is return on capital. The income is also variable (a slightly smaller portion of the payment). So I cannot just calculate it once then memorize it.
I spent 30 minutes yesterday googling and trying to find a passive income tracker. Ideally web based, but would settle for a desktop application. I want something where I can add categories (such as me, IRA, etc.), subcategories (such as rentals, promissory notes, etc.). Where I can plot progression over months to see how fast I am getting closer to (or farther from) my goal. I didn't find anything. I could use OpenOffice Calc (similar to Excel), but I am not a spreadsheets guru. Besides, I am a little worried that as I add more sources of income that I initially put in and allowed more blank rows for, my formulas would get messed up.
Do you know of any web site or free software that can do the above ?
