Can I make structural changes to a condo
Can I convert a 3 bedroom condo into a 2 bedroom condo...its probably a silly question to ask
@German Vellon - this is too wide open a question because condos are not all alike. For example, if you have a single-family type home which is a condo, chances are no one cares what you do inside your walls. On the other hand, if your condo is unit in a building, then yes, you will most certainly have restrictions on what you can do. Assuming the latter, a general rule of thumb is that if you are load bearing walls and pillars may not be touched. Simple dry-wall can be changed. Hope that helps.

You need to check with your condo association first then the building department. They will be the best place to start.

Thanks for the reply...I thought that would be the answer....just had to ask anyway...one of the bad things about owning condos I guess
Thanks Greg..I'll keep that in mind
@German Vellon
I've rehabbed condos for investors and from what I can see we have a lot of freedom to change the layouts even electrical wiring. I don't think knocking down a wall would be an issue but it's always good to check with the HOA
Thanks Ryan
