Cabinets and Granite in Las Vegas

Stephen Jantz
  • Kanab, UT
Posted

I just recently moved to Southern Utah and I am looking to fix a place up two places, possibly a third, with new Kitchen Cabinets and Granite Counters.  When in Oregon and Seattle I found a couple of great places with good quality and a great price (both happen to be importing from China).  Can someone in the Las Vegas recommend a place to purchase good value cabinets and granite?  Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.

@Jarvis Smith lots of them in 1st ave industrial district.  You can literally go from one showroom to the next. Good luck!

Hi @Stephen Jantz,

Stone trade is great like @Robert Adams is saying. I'm not 100% sure but they may only sell the slabs (very cheap) and refer you to a fabricator to make the actual countertops, pretty much like Bedrosian. But these guys are not going to come out to Kanab to measure and again to install. You should talk to Ryan @ Anasazi Stone in St George. They will come out to Kanab to measure and again to install for a few hundred dollars, on top of the a decent price for countertops (tell him Jean from Las Vegas sent you). If you can do 2 or 3 houses at the same time it will be even better. I think they buy some of their slabs from Stone Trade and/or Bedrosian and have them trucked to St George.

I use a guy in Las Vegas for custom cabinets (not the cheap china stuff) that are very reasonably priced, but he charges too much to come out to the Kanab area...

Jean is correct you will buy the slabs at Stone Trade but you will need a fabricator. That is how most of the slab showrooms work. A lot of the places have very high retail price and require you to come in with your fabricator to get the wholesale price. That is one thing I like about stone trade is the prices are what they are...there is no wholesale or retail it is just one price. If you buy a bunch of slabs (I bought 13 slabs on the last project) they will take about a hundred off the posted price. Pay cash and they discount it further.

Thank you everyone for the great advice and tips it is much appreciated!  What is the best way to get a fabricator to use slabs that I have already purchased?  What would be the range a fabractor should should charge to cut the stone and then install per foot of finished stone?  I would have to add travel charges/expenses for them on top of that since I am a bit out of the way.  It seems that all of the fabricators that I have tried to work with in the past also sell the stone but at much higher prices than I was able to get from a slab yard.

Jarvis Smith I can't remember the name of the place but it is on 1st ave like Rey mentioned above.  I have reached out to a friend up there that might be able to give me the name.

Jean would you mind sharing your custom cabinet connection I would not mind bringing a trailer to LV and picking them up and hanging them myself or getting a local handyman to do that for me.

@Stephen Jantz

My cabinet guy is Gus Rodriguez [email protected] Cell 5108253447 (He is in Vegas even though he has a 510 cellphone number). Again, not China prices though. He did very good work at a very reasonable price, and understood what we wanted right away. He also made custom jewelry displays for us as well as furniture for my daughter's nursery.

Here is also a granite fabricator I've used before in Las Vegas. Probably not the cheapest, but good work and good prices: Custom Granite Masters, Victor, 702-413-2457

I think the transport will cost a fortune though, unless you do it yourself. If you can get your slabs to St George, then you can use the following fabricator in St George: Granite Source, Dell, [email protected]. They work with Anasazi stone and are extremely customer service oriented. If you speak to Dell (Granite Source) or Ryan (Anasazi Stone), they may have a truck going between Vegas and St George for their own slabs and could possibly bring your slabs over to St George...

I don't do a lot of this type stuff using granite but I did recently have granite installed in my office where the sink and microwave are.

Other places wanted a fortune but is just Googled " local granite shop ( your area ) " and sure enough a place I didn't even know existed came up. I went to the yard and looked at remnants.

The granite is a very nice custom piece. They said they would do the sink cut out and if I came and picked it up and installed myself it would be 500 total. If they bring it out after cutting, dismantle the sink, remove and dispose of old formica countertop, install granite counter, backsplashes, and re-install sink it would only be 100 more. I said where do I sign up! lol

So I paid 600 all in. It was a small area but I am happy. This is in GA.

Tiburon Construction!  No one better in Las Vegas.  Call Dave Papp @ (702) 528-5373. Tell him what you need...they have it all, and/or can get it for you extremely reasonably.  Tell him I sent you.  He'll take great care of you.
