Electrical Question
I have been running into a few issues lately with older houses that aren't grounded. In this particular house I am finishing off the basement including new wiring however the rest of the house is old wiring and not grounded. In my budget I was going to keep the old wiring but I had issues when I went to sell my last house with ungrounded (original) wiring. What is the best way to bring the old wiring up to code without breaking the budget by rewiring the entire house? Would the best option be GFCI breakers or is there any way the inspector will let the older wiring be "grandfathered" in? Is there any other option other than a false ground to the box?
