Chicago Landlords! Oppose the Proposed Amendments to RLTO!
The Chicago City Council is on its way to making major changes to residential rental laws that will hurt the market (Listen to the latest update here https://soundcloud.com/chicago...):
- Increase lease non-renewal notice requirement up to 120 days (4 months!) from the current 30-day requirement.
- Allow tenants much more time to stop eviction proceedings after months of non-payment.
- Further, the public was only provided 2 hours notice before this proposal was voted on in Committee.
