Virtual Tour Mapping for a Property - Worth it?

Through my W2 employer I've learned how to take 360-degree photos and stitch them together into a virtual tour where you can then go online and "walk" through the house.

I'm now trying to decide if it would be worth it to purchase the license for the software and camera for my personal use and begin offering this service to other realtors and investors, and do it for my own properties.  Given the cost to purchase the software and camera, it lives me with a few things to consider.

My questions are:

Does anyone know of any statistics to justify providing this service?  For example, will a house sell/rent more quickly if it has a tour?  Can you get a better price if it has a tour?  Or does it spare you time in not having to show the house to as many people?

If anyone has any thoughts, data, or information on this topic I would love to discuss this further!
