I am just in a bit of a tizzy. Last year I was given the opportunity to make some money, if I put in a lot of physical pain errr Labor
I came across this 80 something year old guy who owned a warehouse. The warehouse used to be a cabinet manufacturer who went bankrupt, it was full of white (like you see in lowes )and some solid wood cabinets. BUT the majority of it was cabinet doors. I had to stack the pallets and shrink wrap all of it, then had to transport the pallets to a Quonset hut steel bldg I erected in my back yard. The wife was not happy with that or any other part of this.
I had about 70 pallets all together, some damaged mdse and some not. I have only been able to get about half of the pallets because I have run out of room. As far as I know the other pallets are still in the warehouse, but may be thrown out by now because I have not been out there since I broke my ankle in January.
Now the real point. I have had these things for a very long time and have not been able to sell any of them. I paid nothing for this inventory except paying help and renting the truck to move this still about $1000.00. I have tried craigslist, ebay and the local paper, nothing. I just knew I would have people lining up at my door for these cabinet doors. Nothing. So I am posting this to see if 1) anyone knows anyone who would be interested in buying these 2) How can i market these 3) Should I just say the hell with it and dump em? (as my wife wishes I would do)

Insure them, then have the roof spring a leak and ruin your merchandise? haha

Umm, that's a tough one - I'd try posting on some woodworking forums to see if anyone is interested - they don't seem like they'd be worth anything to anyone but a cabinetmaker or a kitchen/bath refacer

Do you have a "freecycle" list in your area? Try just giving them away. If you take them to the dump, you're going to spend way more than $1000 getting rid of them. Last time I dumped anything, it was $83 for six yards. Assuming you have standard pallets, 4x4 stacked 4 feet high, this sounds like over $2000 in dump fees alone.

There's a store here like the Habitat for Humanity store. They have huge piles of cabinet doors. Probably a similar quantity, though mostly hardwood. They're worthless. Despite this huge pile, when I needed some I found nothing that matched. I ended up ordering them for about $7 each.

Could they be used as firewood?

They don't burn well and I don't have the 2K to dump these stupid things. These were still in the mfg bldg and it looked like they just closed shop in the middle of the day.So I figured someone ordered them so there has to be someone who still needs them somewhere, Orlando is a fairly large place
Not sure what a Freecycle is.
I work in a marketing department and some of the out of the box ideas consist of wet tee shirt contests, buy a door - get a free beer, "Open doors for the hungry", buy a door, 1/2 the money goes to the second harvest food bank.

Orlando Freecycle is a group that offers stuff to each other. I recently got rid of some landscaping timbers from a rehab on our local freecycle. Went to a lady about four blocks away who was happy to get them.

Sorry, I know they seem like they have value, but to the general public, the value is zero.

Have you tried looking up all the cabinet makers in your area and calling them? From your first post, its been at least six months since you did this. So, if there was an order for these, its already been filled. Most likely, its just inventory from the bankrupt manufacturer. Given time, they would have been mated with cabinets and sold. As just doors, they're useless.
