Hoping to finally close soon!

Tenant was refusing to leave the property so we could close on the deal. He was finally evicted, it took a while because the seller dragged his feet to begin the eviction process and when it finally was scheduled the attorney got Covid and the court date was postponed because of that. We were originally trying to close in late June, but the tenant was actively trying to get in the way of the closing so my rate lock expired on my mortgage.  I am asking the seller to pay since a lot of the delays could have been taken care of quicker if he had been more pro-active. Waiting to hear back now. Hoping to finally close on my first property within 10 days!

That is great you are taking action to try and get in the game. That sometimes can be the hardest part for people. Columbus has this program that if you go through the eviction process and the tenant shows up at court then the government covers their rent. https://www.impactca.org/housi... This is helpful for them and you.
