Looking to expand real estate knowledge well in highschool
My name is Doug, I am a sophomore in high school who is trying to become more educated in the world of real estate investing. I mainly get my education in the form of books. Below are all of the titles I’ve read that directly correlate with real estate investing as a whole
-The millionaire real estate investor by Gary Keller
-The book on flipping houses by J. Scott
-All 3 of Todd Fleming’s “if you can’t _ after this then I’ve got nothing for you
-BRRRR investing by David Greene
-Managing rental properties by Brandon Turner
I've also ordered about 27 more books off of Amazon, using my 900% gains in the stock market with the 2020 bull run. Most of these books are about Commercial real estate, Tax lien real estate investing, real estate law, how to talk too people & get successful deals, some books on building my credit score as soon as I turn 18, some private equity and TA for stocks as well as a book on LLC's and tax deductions & estimating rehab costs.
I’m looking for some more experienced investors to help me find some more books on financial education I should be reading or any podcasts/YouTube channels they recommend. I’m specifically looking for help with bird dogging and wholesaling as I am under 18 and only have a low 5 figure amount of capital and am looking too build more so I can acquire my first property as soon as I turn 18.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for taking the time out of your day to read and hopefully respond with helpful tips of how I can further educate myself. Feel free to send me a DM as I am looking for more real estate connections to learn with. As the saying goes, your the average of the 5 people you hang out / talk with. Thanks - Doug O
PS. I will also likely be posting this across multiple forums (assuming it’s allowed) in hopes too reach as many real estate investors as possible

Hey @Douglas Ossanna
Congrats to you for your ambition! If you are looking to connect with someone for some guidance or advice, feel free to reach out. I also recommend you read this article I wrote for Bigger Pockets titled How to Invest in Real Estate Before Turning 21. Once you've read it, let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions. I am a high school teacher in Colorado and I am always looking to help young people get started in real estate investing or help in any way I can. Let me know if you want to chat sometime. https://www.biggerpockets.com/
