New to wholesaling problems

Hi everyone, I have been thinking about getting into real estate for some years now. I finally decided to start wholesaling after some research, even though that is not really my goal in real estate. I decided to do it so I could get an understanding of it. So I launched a campaign today and my first responses were "F- you" and it kind of through me off. Is there any tips to getting around this for a way to getting into rentals or finding funding for your first deals?
