Hi BP community!

My name is Mike, and like many of you, I stumbled upon real estate as a way to gain financial independence. I have been searching for an answer to my student loan problem, and I truly believe real estate is my solution. On top of that, real estate may be the fastest way for me to grow my wealth to become an accredited investor. Being an accredited investor would provide me access to investing opportunities where I can merge my love for technology and startups.

My journey started when I listened to an episode of the Art of Manliness about starting a side hustle. This episode led me to two books by Chris Guillebeau, Side Hustle and $100 Startup, and Tim Ferris's 4 Hour Work Week. Talking with my new found desire to start a side hustle, my buddy recommended the BP podcast to me. Fifteen episodes later and reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and the BP Book on Rental Property Investing, I am finally here!

Here is a short biography of myself. I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. I moved to Daytona Beach, where I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned a B.S. in Engineering Physics. After graduating, I decided to join the military, and I am currently stationed overseas. I will be moving to Jacksonville, NC, in the coming months where I am looking at buying my first property. My daily action plan until then is to:

-finish reading the BP books I ordered

-listen to at least one BP podcast every 48 hrs

-respond to at least one post on the BP forums (probably in the form of a clarification question at this point)

-lay the groundwork for my move to NC (i.e., network, build a team, etc.) using the resources I have acquired

-analyze one deal a week (for now)

Thank you for your time, and I am excited to learn as much as I can, get to know all of you, and get my first deal!!!
