Good morning everybody!

My name is Chris Holcombe. I have been thinking for quite sometime to get into real estate investing and I came across this website a little bit ago. I am 25 years old completely new to this game and interested in where it might take me. I am currently renting a home in the small town of White,  Ga.  It is ridiculously tiny with zero entertainment.

I spend my normal working days as a Chef and hobby hours as a guitarist, wood worker,  bodybuilder,  so many things it's almost ridiculous.

I am undecided in how I am going to start out on this journey. Maybe flipping or having a chain of rental properties in the distant future.

I hope to learn a lot of things from this community!

-Chris Holcombe

@Christopher Holcombe just at a year now. Closing on my 5th deal in a couple weeks. I live over off of East Cherokee near hwy20 I guess you could call that "Macedonia" but I have a Ball Ground Address. Moved up to Cherokee county in 2007. Lived off of hwy 5 near lower bethany rd for many years.

@Brad Woodall moving pretty quick closing out almost 5 deals in under a year. with my lack of experience I'll be a snail in the market for now.

Just focus on getting that first deal, then the 2nd, then the ball will start rolling and you'll get the hang of things. I still consider myself a newbie. Still doing this part-time and working a full-time 9-5 and chasing a 2.5 year old around at home & dealing with a cranky pregnant wife.

They key is steady lead flow. if you have a steady flow of leads and you're making offers, you'll eventually get something. Don't try to knock it out of the park with your first deal, just focus on getting a deal. You don't know what you don't know. You're gonna learn a lot in the process and look at every deal as a learning experience. You might lose some money on a deal in the process so don't let that hold you back just take what you learned from that and keep moving forward.

@Brad Woodall thanks for the advice and the encouragement. im hoping to close on a small 40k deal soon. I feel like is ripe for the rental market, according to the demographic of the location. still much research to do though.
