Hi!
Hi, everyone! My name is JoAnn and I am looking to get into real estate as a "passive" income stream. I know getting started will take a lot of work and risk, but since my kids are starting to leave the nest, I figure it is time to start earning income again. I stumbled on this site while i was doing some research. I am interested in flipping or buying distressed/ foreclosed properties to remodel and rent out. The only experience I have with this is as an investor. We live in the California Bay Area where the real estate is crazy, so I know it would be tricky to do anything close by, but one target area for us is to look into real estate near universities where the demand for rent is high and there is a lot of turn over so we do not have to deal with rent control issues. Any advice is welcome and appreciated! Thanks!
