Hello,

I am brand new to BP and real estate investing. I have recently come to understand the importance of cash flow and the benefits of buying assets not liabilities. I am taking action now by talking to you all and learning more about the business. I am in the Navy and looking to retire in the next 4 years and I am setting my sights on real estate investing as an avenue to build passive income to support retirement. I currently live in Poulsbo, Wa. and like many other BP members, I see a lot of potential in the Silverdale, Poulsbo, Bremerton areas, mainly in multi-family homes with all the military turnover in the area. Currently, I am trying to build my real estate IQ to make smart investments into some multi-family homes or possibly SFH in the near future.

Beyond purchasing my primary residence I have no first hand experience on real estate investing and would love to learn more. I am interested in possibly utilizing a HELOC to reach my goal of buying and investment property this year. Also, I will be transferring to Groton, Ct next May for a short time and I am considering using my VA loan to buy a multi-family home in that area.
