New to Boise area. Where do I start??

My husband and I just recently moved to the Boise area and have been talking about investing in real estate for YEARS. We just purchased our second home and are finally in a situation where we feel like we could jump into it. We paid off all our debts with the sale of our first home (student loans, cars..) with enough left over for a decent down payment. It was so fun! We loved the experience, even though moving states was stressful, and reignited our interest in real estate investing. We have some cash in savings but have no idea how to get started with the finances. Our current plan is to finance and flip single family homes until we can pay cash for a few rentals. Ultimately we'd like to live off rental income and quit the 9-5 job. We've also thought about starting with small rentals first and building our portfolio more slowly over time, but not sure which plan would be more feasible given our current situation. Any advice on where to start? I feel like we just need to jump in and commit to our goals. I'd also love to connect with others in the Boise area to get a better feel of the market here.
