Aloha Biggerpockets world!
I'm Kellen and I live in Waipahu, Hawaii. Right now I'm analyzing foreclosures in the Midwest to get my investment strategy off of the ground. I have family there and have spent an extensive amount of time there so it isn't completely foreign to me. I decided to get into a little less competitive and much cheaper market to get started off. I plan on getting my feet wet there as well as here in Hawaii and will be moving out of my full time job and into investing full time within the next two years.

welcome! If you are interested in foreclosures in the midwest, there some great opportunities there. We have seen many Asian investors buying foreclosures and renting them out. Just pay attention to the team that you are using to acquire and manage these properties. Good luck!
Smart move. Out of state is way cheaper than here. I struggle to find cashflow properties here, and when I do I move quick on them because it'll be a bidding war if I don't lock the property up in a contract.
