Just made my first discussion and realized i didnt introduce myself to the forums first haha
My name is Jody and I have recently started investing in single family in San Diego California. I want to get into more affordable markets but I am concerned about proximity and managing issues that come up. I love the podcast with Josh and Brandon! I have started a few weeks ago and am up to 2 a day on my commute. The podcast led me to this forum which is a great place to be. I think I may find myself up for a few long nights on BP!
Welcome to BP. You have found the place that will make your real estate investing journey a total success. This family that you have will be more than happy to guide you on the right path and will revel in any and all success as you accomplish them. Wishing you the best journey possible as an investor. Good luck.
I have property management contacts down there and I am jealous when we talk rents. Typically their gross rents are triple mine in Idaho on equal units. Or from a management view, they can earn on 100 doors what we do on 300. I know the expenses are more as well but you can definitely win in that market. Grow where you know!
Hi @Jody Rouse
Welcome to BP! It's a great place for advice, tips you name it! I'm new also to BP and investing in San Diego. I'm a Realtor and I look for deals to buy and hold but a lot of them don't makes sense here. Unless I cash flow I don't want to buy it. I'm more of a kick the tires type of investor and want to self manage my properties and want them local, so I haven't look elsewhere other than San Diego, but I'm not totally against it to find cheaper properties that cash flow.

Welcome to the BP community @Jody Rouse! Thanks for sharing. Listening to all podcasts is a great start. With a long commute, much better to be learning that listening to the same songs over and over. Never understood that. Great job!

Hey @Jody Rouse welcome! It’s great to have you on board. Thanks for the nice words about the Podcasts!
Oh - and be sure to set up some keyword alerts - especially for "San Diego" so you'll be notified when people mention it here in the forums.
Thanks again for introducing yourself!
Welcome @Jody Rouse! It's great to see another investor trying their hand in San Diego!
