Hey everyone! I joined Bigger Pockets a few days ago and have been learning a ton from the forums and books and podcasts. One thing I kept hearing and reading was that people often get stuck trying to figure out how to begin and never take the first step. I was feeling like one of those people so I figured introducing myself here would be a good first step.
I'm a software engineer living in San Francisco and I am thinking of going with the buy and hold strategy focusing on building some cash flow. I was thinking it would be awesome to find a deal on a 4 unit apartment, live in it for a year and use an FHA loan to finance the deal. But after looking around the bay area, with its sky high prices, I'm wondering if it would be better to just try my hand at looking for out of state deals.
Anyway, so far I'm loving the Bigger Pockets community and I can't wait to tell you all about my first deal when I find it.
