Newbie in Owensboro, KY

Hi everyone, 

I have been interested in the real estate investment market for a while now and am finally ready to pull the trigger and get my business started. I am a 30 year old IT professional and moved to the Owensboro, KY area back in August 2014. I am married and my wife and I just had our first child. I really want to secure a financial future for my family and see real estate as the best way to do that. I primarily want to focus on the rental market with the occasional flip. @Robert Perry Welcome!  Great advice  @Paul Timmins...  Definitely an exciting time.  A lot of people in your position, Robert, start by purchasing a duplex or triplex, living in it, and renting out the remainder to entirely or mostly knock out their living expenses.  If you want to get into flipping, I would try my best on BP to network with local investors.  So, make sure when you post, list a few of the cities you are looking to invest in, so local investors around you in KY get those keyword alerts.  Exciting times my man
