New to BP - ISA for Keller Williams
I am new to BP and have been in software sales/account management for several years now. I have always wanted to get into real estate. I interviewed with the top producing broker in the Chattanooga area about an inside sales position at her firm (KW).
Any thoughts on this position? Hoping it will help me learn the business to proceed with my investing career.
All help is appreciated.
KW is a great company, I am sure you will do fine.
Welcome to Biggerpockets!
My first job out of graduate school was working for a 50 firm commercial/apartment complex as the bosses executive assistant. About 7 months into the job they remember I had a finance job and I was moved to the business analyst section. I now work in commercial real estate. I LOVE it, its awesome to play with someone else's money. Than you know what to and not to do!
just don't let yourself get "stuck". The key is to use the experience to continue to invest and build your own portfolio. It is also easy to get in a grind and be so busy working for the man. You don't grow yourself.
I highly recommend you also check out- the blogs, forums and listen to the podcasts. If you see a post you enjoy check out the persons signature. As many of us have created resources around our niche (websites, blogs, etc) so checking out the signature is a great to get more information. Make sure you don't miss out on networking is by filling out your signature, profile and pming people with questions.
Look forward to seeing you around!
Thanks.
Welcome to the community! BP has a tremendous amount of information to help you, but it is only available if you seek it out. Be sure to be as active and engaging as possible. Read blogs, post questions, and the podcasts are gold! The best free education you can get. Good luck!
Hi Josh,
I just turned in my agent paperwork for the KW office downtown as well. I have invested in SFH for about 10 years and wanted more access and opportunity to the Chattanooga market. I would be glad to help in any way. Give me a call sometime. 423-364-0028.
@Josh Ledbetter who did you interview with? Just sent you a PM.
Whatever you do - stay away from that @Thomas DeMoss guy above! :-)
