Hello,
I've been on BP for a while but I'm making the plunge from passive to active investor and contributor to BP. If you are in the north Texas area say hi.
Russell
Good to have you with us, Russell.
Hi Russel, welcome to BP. Tell us a little more about how you differentiate passive and active. That will get your contributions kicked off.
Hi Jerry,
Passively: I have been reading, analyzing and doing tons of due diligence on what exactly you have to put into RE investing to be successful. I feel like I've grasped the concepts and feel that doing sub 2 deals to start off would be the best route to go for me.
Actively: Now I think it's time for the rubber to hit the road and begin networking with RE attorneys, title companies, realtors, etc... and making a conscience effort everyday to find deals.
Hope that helps clarify some of my needs and my current status as an investor.
Russell
Excellent! Sub to is a very tricky maneuver. You may want to check out BP Podcast 070to pick up some tips and tricks.
Hi @Russell Petersen !
I've been on BP for a little while now and absorbing all the information I can. I too, feel ready to take the plunge. Good luck and keep us posted.
Welcome aboard Russell. Sub2 investing is complicated but can be very profitable. Best of luck.
Thanks for the support, I appreciate the assist on the podcast @jerrypuckett. Also, I've seen a few REi clubs around the greater Dallas area, any recommendations on some good quality ones? I'll be attending my first one next Thursday (the one that Phill Grove runs).
Thanks again!

Welcome Russell. There are a lot of super helpful people and great advice on this site! I'm a 'fix and hold' investor from the Bay in CA, and loving it! A lot of others doing flips, wholesaling, notes, everything. A few tips.
You can tag people by typing @ before you type their name, then clicking their name when it pops up at the bottom of the message box. You can click on the 'vote' button if you like someone's post or is helpful, and there are 'awards' to earn on your profile. The "Learn" link across the top navigation bar has lots of great info, and most importantly, the BP members! Welcome to BP, and good luck on your investments!
Russell,
Hows it going? Im new to BP as well, its nice to have a website like this to network and see what other investors are doing. If you want to email me we can talk about types of properties you are looking for and what your investing goals are. I work for NetWorth Realty in Fort Worth and we always have new properties coming in. Looking forward to hearing from you!
