Note Buyer Here: Looking to Connect with Real Estate Professionals

Hello BiggerPockets Community!

I'm excited to officially introduce myself here. My name is Brett Anderson, and I’m the founder of We Buy Notes Lansing — a Michigan-based business that specializes in buying and selling private mortgage notes, trust deeds, and promissory notes.

For anyone unfamiliar with note buying:
When someone sells a property with seller financing, the seller usually carries a mortgage note — a promise from the buyer to make payments over time. Instead of holding onto that long-term payment stream, some note holders decide they’d prefer a lump sum of cash today. That’s where businesses like mine step in. We buy those notes, providing liquidity for the seller and new investment opportunities for others.

At We Buy Notes Lansing, we work directly with individuals, families, and investors who either want to cash out of their note or are looking to purchase cash-flowing notes as a strong alternative investment.

I'm also looking to build meaningful partnerships here!
I'm very interested in connecting with real estate professionals, investors, agents, brokers, attorneys, wholesalers, and mortgage pros who want to explore mutually beneficial opportunities.
Whether you have leads that aren't a fit for your core business — or you want to add another tool to help your clients — let’s team up! I’m confident we can create win-win partnerships where we help each other grow.

✅ If you're interested in buying or selling a mortgage note — or just want to discuss potential ways we can collaborate — feel free to head to my profile page and get my contact info.

Looking forward to connecting with more of you soon!

🔍 Curious — have you ever come across a seller-financed note during your deals?

@Brett Anderson On Episode 127 Real Estate Notes Show we had Scott Arpan who discussed buying leads of these types of notes.  Then on Episode 132 we had Jeff Armstrong who discussed details on his Marketing for these types of notes.

We come across these types of notes many times in our 15 years, however you need to be patient and able to handle many issues as the collateral is often not done well.

@Brett Anderson Hey Brett! Have you attended the local Lansing REI group meetups before? We host two events each month and we really don't have anyone in the group who is doing Note Investing. I think it would be a huge benefit to have you stop out and share your expertise.

If you're interested, lookup our Facebook group. Achieve Real Estate Investors (profile picture is Monopoly houses). Feel free to reach out directly as well!

Hi Troy. I haven't attended a meeting yet but I plan to soon. I spoke to two other local realtors a couple weeks ago and they both said the same thing.
