Hi everyone!
My name is Neil Robinson, a new investor living in Bellevue, Washington
After years of "analysis paralysis", my wife and I purchased our first rental property in the summer of 2012. We have been pretty aggressive, purchasing turnkey deals in several states. With us both having hectic careers, it has seemed to be the best way to enter the field.
A friend, Oscar Perez, recommended the site and I am finally de-lurking.I am currently devouring all the podcasts and getting a great deal out of them.
Our long term goal is to be economically supported by our real estate investments and see about having me transition to becoming a real estate professional. For now, that's just a mid-term goal with lots of work to get there.
Neil
Sorry for the double posting.... The intertubes must have been busy when I tried the first time.
Welcome Neil! We don't have many from "east-side" it seems. We have a group in Snohomish County you may be interested in attending:

Welcome Neil! We're interested in out of state turnkey investments too and hope to purchase some this year. Best of luck to you!
Welcome to BP @Neil Robinson
We're in Kirkland. Nice to see another local join BP. Check out the "Learn" tab up top. You can also set up keyword alerts like "Bellevue" "Seattle" "Tacoma" or for areas of interst like "Turn Key". Tons of great info and lots of knowledgable people here. I think you'll find there are several of us in the Pacific Northwest on BP. Turn Key investing brings both good and bad responses from people here on BP depending on the situation. I would be interested in finding out more about your experience with them and which company(s) you have used. As for the greater Seattle area, unless you invest in areas further away from city centers, such as rural areas, or less desirable neighborhoods, it seems that good buy and hold properties are becoming harder and harder to find these days. We picked up some during the great recession but with prices and interest rates on their way up, it's becoming tougher. Wishing you much success and hope to see you around the forums.

Hey @Neil Robinson welcome to the site! It's really great to have you jumping in. I love to meet other local folks (well, as much as "Bellevue" can be called local to "Montesano" :) )
Anyways, let me know if I can help steer you in the right direction here on the site, and be sure to jump in anytime you can help offer advice or thoughts - especially on out-of-state investing, which is a very popular topic.
Thanks again! Welcome !
Hey @Neil Robinson, nice to meet another member from King County! I'll be working down in Bellevue next year, it's a great (albeit expensive) city to live in.
