Potential rates for short term / Air bnb rental

Jesse Coleman
Posted

Anyone familiar with air bnb or short term vacation rental? I'm not to familiar with the air bnb/vacation rental model. I've some experience in short term rentals but not in a vacation area. I've accidentally ran across a property that has 15 vacation rental units and a large commercial space in a popular vacation area.

How would I find the potential rent per week? There are a lot of air bnb around this property. Is there a way to find the potential vacancy rate of such property?

Hi @Jesse Coleman, yes you posted in the STR forum, so you will find people here that are familiar with them. Like me! :)

Can you tell me the exact area where the place you are interested is in? Not the address, but town etc. I can help pull some info and see how the area is doing in general. It is not the last word, but it will be a start.

I suggest you start cruising this forum and read as much as you can before jumping in.
