Pool software / app that works well for rentals

I operate vacation rentals in the greater Coachella Valley area, where pools are essential to vacation rent a home.  To date, we have been buying mostly Pentair equipment, and loading the Pentair Screenlogic app onto a tablet that stays at the house, so renters can toggle from Pool to Spa mode, and adjust the Spa temperature.  It also enables us to heat the pool remotely (so if someone arriving in 2 days has paid for pool heating, we can remotely turn on the pool heater and set a target temperature ahead of time).  This app can also control the pool lights, jets, and allow you to set up schedules to turn things on and off at certain times, etc.

We've had mixed success with the software.  Unfortunately the app the guest sees is very similar to the one we see, so they are free to monkey with a variety of setting we would prefer they would never see and therefore leave alone.  We've also had the app randomly drop certain features (like the entire "spa" button on the app) after the main unit in the house was accidentally unplugged.....forcing us to uninstall and re-install the app while testy guests look over our shoulder.

Anyone have a better tech solution?  Ideally all our guests would be able to do would be to be able to switch between pool mode and spa mode, and change the water temperature to within a range we have predefined.  And be locked out of everything else.

Anyways any recommendations on software or interfaces that work well for VR pools, please give me a shout!

thanks

john
