How do you manage your apartment keys?
I must have 100 keys in my car. How do you keep track of the keys to your apartments?
I have one master key to all locks. When a tenant moves out I rekey the lock and give the new tenant the rekeyed apartment key.
If a master key wasn't an option I'd do something creative like buy one of those large sectioned off pill boxes and put the keys in there with the unit number written in each individual box.

Engrave the address and unit number on the key.
“2000-3”
For 2000 Main St, Unit 3, and then keepthem on a ring by building.
I have duplexs so I put both keys on a ring with a tag and write the address on it. I only have 6 doors. And I rekey the locks when they move out.
A master key is essential. Work closely with a good local locksmith. Keep every key tagged with a flexible plastic key tag that uses a clear plastic shield to protect the written label. For each building use a zippered vinyl money type bag labelled on the outside to store each individual building's keys.
To take it a step further which I have not done, keep a rack in the office to hang the tagged original key for each door or padlock. The key copies are what you carry in the car.
