Diapers in shared laundry
Just wondering
1: can you NOT allow a tenant to put cloth diapers in a shared use (coin op) machine? Just thinking that other tenants who aren't used to this life style wouldn't be comfortable with it. Landlord pays water & electric. But since it is coin operated, can you control specific "garments"? The machines were installed halfway through the lease terms, so there is nothing in the lease about them yet.
2: does anyone have any rules in a lease regarding laundry use at all? I need to add something to the lease about it, like coins or foreign objects creating maintenance or damage, or overloading, or even cleaning up after yourself. (My wife once went to the laundry mat and put her sheets in a washer, only later to find out someone had spilled bleach all over the top and inside of that washer, now we have tie dye sheets) I have something in place for not clogging the toilet with certain object and such, just wondering if there's something for coin op laundry machines.
I also know about the benefits of using cloth diapers. i'm not looking to be convinced, just wondering what the legalities and lease terms were with others who are in the same situation.
Thanks!!!
