Students Rental Beginner Questions
Hi Biggerpockets Community,
I am a complete beginner and want to start on the right path. I have been reading the BP books and reading the forum post. I currently live in a home that I bought last year, it is roughly 1.5 miles away from a professional college. I have 3 vacant rooms in my home that I want to rent out to students but I am not sure how I should approach this. Any advice from the community will be greatly appreciated!
What I have done:
I've checked out the rental rate near my area.
Look at Facebook ads and craigslist ads for rental near me to calculate my price.
Questions I have:
What type of tools did you use to draft your rental lease form?
Which sites/resources do you find most successful to find tenants?
Should I furnace these rooms and charge extra rent or leave it un-furnace?
Thank you very much for your input in advance!
