Not renting to prospective tenants with felonies
I am currently putting together my minimum rental requirements, like income, credit, and rental history requirements.
can I advertise that I will not accept felons? or would that be considered discriminatory?
how do you use criminal background to accept or deny tenants?
would you just deny everyone with a criminal background?

There isn't a need to advertise that you don't rent to tenants with a criminal background. Advertise what you are looking for, not what you don't want. Keep it positive and simple. Just add that you do a background check and if someone doesn't pass decline them and move on to the next prospect.
