Self managing your property in Arizona

Hey BP members,

I’m thinking about getting into real estate investing and am starting to think about how I would manage my first property. I spoke with a real estate agent and was told that I would not be allowed to manage the property myself without a real estate license.  Is this true? Thank you all for your help.

Hey Levi

That is absolutely not true and I’m sorry you were misinformed, just like any property owner can sell their home for sale by owner you can manage your own rental. There are no laws against doing it. Pending your schedule, it may make more sense to let someone manage it but typically it’s about a 10% fee
