Should I finance a NEW HVAC UNIT?!?

So a couple months ago I had a leak from an HVAC unit in one . the HVAC is over 30 years old... the leak was fixed but the water of course sat under the laminate wood floors and now I’m dealing with trying to repair that.... my thing is that if I get that repaired and the leak happens again, I’m going to be pissed! Lol... but of course I’m sure I can prevent it again by getting a new one only thing is I don’t really have the money for it.... What do you guys think? What are some ideas and options?

A couple of people say "manage your reserves better" and "should have the money...". What if this person is in his first year of ownership and hasn't had time to build reserves? What if he just replaced a roof and exhausted his reserves?
