PLEASE HELP! High Gas Bills with No Tenants!
Need Advice!
Once I had the utilities turned on in my triplex I started to receive unusual bills for gas service. First couple months the bill was $16 just for bringing the service into the units
Once appliances were installed received $191 bill, next month $242 gas bill. Mind you I had no tenants as of yet.
These last 2 months
Dec bill $521
Jan bill $838!!!!
I still only have 2 units rented not even the 3rd unit has tenants.
I’ve called BGE they did a high bill audit told me to get plumbing and HVAC inspections. Did that, checked for leaks, fixed those
Told me to have an energy audit, did that. They’re several places I’m losing energy like the windows and the ceilings where there is lack of insulation however not enough to warrant an $80 gas bill
BGE says it’s on my end and the gas is pulling from somewhere
The contractors seems to think it’s the meter sometimes it just spins and spins but BGE says the meter is the new version..
I’m going around and around in circles and have no clue what to do but go back to BGE and ask for them to replace the meter again.
I think it has something to do with when the appliances were installed because right after that the usage went through the roof!
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!
