Married Title Under One or Both While Married
Hi,
There is a limit on the number of loans each SSN can get.
When married and purchasing cash, should the title be under one of the spouses or both before applying for delayed financing? What's easier?

An individual can only have 10 Fannie Mae mortgages. So if you are married, and each spouse is able to independently qualify for the mortgages, each spouse could hold 10 each allowing you to get up to 20 as a couple. This is a strategy my wife and I have used in the past when we had more properties. We still do hold properties individually, but are below the 10 property threshold currently.
