Insurance Advice Michigan

Hi all,

I own 2 investment properties in Westland, MI and have a total of 6 insurance policies including my home and auto. Costs are adding up really fast.

I work with a third party company that tries to get the best deals from various insurances they work with but Im noticing premiums are increasing with each new policy I add. Plus I don’t have buying power since I’m not dealing with one insurance. So I’m wondering if anyone has experience with other property investment friendly insurance companies with good rates before I start shopping around. Thanks in advance.

... or Casey Bulak at Noel Selewski Agency in Grosse Pointe. I shopped around a but, and they came out on top - and haven't increased prices since.

MSI(formerly Arcana) I use them for single family and 2-4s. Great rates plus I have a portal that allows me to quote and bind a policy in about 2 minutes!   Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired but the rates are great and they’ve always covered claims.

For my multifamily properties I use Simplified.

Do you have to be a licensed agent to be appointed with MSI or can consumers get quotes and bind? I've never heard of MSI. Thanks.
