Recent issues with mortgage broker

Hi everyone, just wanted opinions of this community.  I have done 3 deals using a mortgage broker recommended to me by a real estate agent (who I no longer utilize)  This mortgage broker was a little shakey on the first deal but the next 2 deals was always on top of everything and solid.  I have noticed in between some moments of unprofessionalism and slow pace, but nothing stood out.   Recently I am utlizing this broker for another deal and they are slow to respond, with various excuses from being busy, to illness, to computer issues.  I am really starting to get frustrated.    I hate conflict and really don't want to be rude with this individual.  A part of me says let the deal finish and then never use them again.    But at this point it is going at a snails pace and I am afraid to lose the deal.  This is the first time they are being avoidant.  This broker responds to my texts 5-10 hours later or never, and does not pick up my calls.  What would you guys do?

    Replied

Treat any consultants (mort brokers, realtors, inspectors) like employees.
You set expectations. then you manage expectations. If they underperform then take appropriate action up to firing them.

As a realtor, the clients I ALLWAYS treated like Gold was repeat buyers. I loved investors {the ones who were true investors]
