Calling all LI investors! What strategies are you using on LI and how have they worked out for you? I live on long island and want to buy a house hack. All I see here are mother/daughters and I'm not sure if house hacking is legal. I haven't found anything in the town codes. I would appreciate some insight on what strategies are being used. Thanks.

Good morning @Charlie Armstrong and welcome to BP!

House-hacking is legal on L.I. for mother-daughters or multi-family properties. We've helped a number of BP members execute this strategy all over the Island - Valley Stream, Massapequa, Lynbrook, Holtsville, Patchogue, Levittown, Hicksville, and more.

The issue is super low inventory for small multifamily properties 2-4 units. Many new investors/house-hackers have found better luck with mother/daughters.
