Hey how you doing I’am currently trying to look for a property to house hack in, if anyone have any experiences, techniques, and mistakes they made in the past while house hacking can you please share if you don’t mind ? I’am trying to learn as much about this as possible and also when you house hack do you prefer collecting rents on your own ? Or hiring a property manager to collect? I have been thinking about this a lot lately I really don’t want my tenants to know I own the property for safety reasons a lot can go wrong with that because automatically when someone finds out you literally own the property they staying in they will either bother you none stop or they assume you this big time millionaire because you own real estate which can lead to plotting, I’am a real deep paranoid thinker 😂😂 I always assume for the worst.

For house hacking it would be most beneficial to purchase and live in a 2-4 unit. You want to find a property that can cover your rent, all expenses and preferably cash flow positively when living in one unit. It also provides a great opportunity to self manage and learn that side of the premise since you live on the property.
