Laundry Machines??

Hello All! I'm new to the machine side of the laundry business and trying to gain a better understanding of cost associated with providing machines in a multi-housing environment, ie: apartments. I am researching for a friend who has experience in real estate and some parts of the laundry business, but nothing combing the two. I'm trying to help him with finding information on the annual cost of providing machines to tenants. Beyond the initial cost of the equipment, which will be Maytag or Speed Queen, does anyone know the average yearly cost to repair and service machines in this environment? We have been able to find expenses associated with utilities, but budgeting for repairs seems to be the wildcard. We realize there are a lot of variables, but is there anyone with knowledge or experience that can speak to the avg. lifespan of a machine under this type of use and the annual cost to keep the machines running?

Obviously, we are both new to this, so I appreciate any insight you all could provide.

Thank you!
