Need Help with Assisted Living / Veteran Housing!!
Hi!
I have a great opportunity to purchase, at a discount, a 12 unit property that houses older veterans. The 12 units are made up of 8 motel style units and a 4 bedroom house. The current owner manages the property, provides 3 meals a day, and does laundry. In taking this property over, we do not want any blip in service. Our biggest hurdle is figuring out how to provide the 3 meals a day. Admittedly, she said breakfast is cereal and yogurt (self serving) and lunch is similar with maybe a premade sandwich.
My first thought is to hire a live in caretaker to live for free and pay them a salary (between 10-20k). Issues I can see arising would be sickness, vacations, and holidays. I cant realistically expect 1 person to work 365 days a week.
Second hurdle is I dont really know where to search for this person.
Any and all help in this space would be greatly appreciated!
