Calling all Agents/Brokers/Investors in Raleigh, North Carolina

Nick Vondrachek
  • Raleigh
Posted

Hello,

I am new to the Raleigh North Carolina area and am in the market for purchasing my first home/investment property in the next few months. My compelling event is that my apartment lease runs up at the end of May.

I'd like to begin building my network here with other investors that are also agents that can continually send me properties and help guide my decision making.

Let's connect! Please respond directly on here if you fit the bill or text me (see my number on profile) and we can set up an intro call to learn more about what I'm looking for. I am very serious about buying my first home and turning it into some type of investment property, ideally by house hacking OR renting out part of a townhome/ single family home.

Cheers,

Welcome to Bigger Pockets @Nick Vondrachek and to Raleigh investing as well! Both great places :)

I'm a one of the local small investors here. Single Family Homes and Townhomes and mostly BRRR strategy. Also a Realtor (but PSST that's a secret :) )

Lots of great information in this forum and great members. Definitely worth searching here for some info or asking questions and helping others!

    Nick,

I am looking to get my first deals out the door soon as a wholesaler. Would love to connect and talk about how we can help each other in the future.

I would agree with Adam. Went to my first TREIA Meeting this past week and the networking was great.

Nick, I agree with Adam, go to the local RIA meetups, I too am a newbie, I take classes at the Triangle RIA, they are excellent and you meet a lot of good people if you go to the main meetings and big networking sessions. I am looking to invest in Greensboro, so I have started going to the Triad Ria (Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem).

@Nick Vondrachek is speak to @Tiffany Alexy and/or @Dawn Brenengen for realtors. Then attend local meetups. There’s a Raleigh meetup that’s posted on BP every month. Dealmakers and treia are also good depending on what you’re looking for.

    Hi Nick!

Welcome to Raleigh! Ditto to joining TREIA…it’s a great resource for networking with other investors. As for working with agents, I highly recommend you talk to a few agents and then select one to represent you. A good buyer’s agent will be loyal to you, protect your interests, help you find properties, craft offers, negotiate, organize inspections, and guide you through the due diligence process to closing. Agents only get paid when a property closes, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to find good agents willing to spend time looking for properties for you if they think they’re part of a posse of agents and are working for free. I hope that’s helpful. Best of luck to you!

Hey @Nick Vondrachek!! I got my start here in the Triangle by house hacking, it is a great way to get started investing.  Now I have a team of investor-friendly agents to help other investors!

Thanks all. I look forward to attending my first TREIA meeting April 2nd and finding agents/brokers that meet my needs. I am looking for a SFH or a townhome in a strong neighborhood for future appreciation and (hopefully) cashflow but I realize we are in a seriously hot market right now in Raleigh.

In a perfect world, I would house hack or Airbnb the unit out. The BRRR strategy is very interesting.

I look forward to getting into the game. I will 100% share my learnings (good and bad) and am excited to get started!
