Seller wants to stay in house a few days after closing

Hello,  I'm closing on the purchase of a townhouse next Wednesday.  The seller has just asked me if  they can move out the following Saturday because her husband would have to take off of work.  I told her I probably can't because of liability issues for example someone getting hurt not to mention damage that may be caused to the property while moving out.  Any thoughts on whether this is just a bad idea and I should just say no or should I let them do it in exchange for helping me pay closing costs?  Thank you in advance

Your easiest option might be just to delay closing. That might be easier for both parties. If you want to do that, sign an amendment to the contract to extend the closing date. Set closing for the Monday after they have vacated. You can do a walk through Sunday night.
