Property insurance hassles - your experiences?

Trying to keep our insurance with USAA as we have been with them for 30 years.  Trying to keep everything with the one company as then our umbrella policy is in force.  However, they are being extremely difficult to deal with. Curious what your experiences have been with property insurance!?  It's taken about 45 minutes minimum to add each new property we acquire and older ones longer. Once we got to 10 properties we had to go to some outside agency that is related to USAA.  However, the outside agency has limitations (no condos, nothing in Tennessee, nothing over x years old with y kind of roof, etc...).  Plus they are getting into extremely detailed questions like what type of piping, electrical, etc.... Now they want to go inspect one of the properties inside and outside.  Also, they want copies of the trusts that own the various properties which seems unusual.  Oh ya, and they won't promise they will cover the properties and may take a few days to decide and we are suppose to close escrow, on a cash purchase, this week.  The whole thing has been an extreme hassle.  Curious about your experiences with insurance.
