So i was researching some moving boxes and came across these two office trailers that are being advertised for FREE. Im a newbie and would like to start with little to no money. If you got these for free what would you do with them? How would you turn these in to cash? Any advice on the smart thing to do would be greatly appreciated. I say turn them into livible units and rent them out. What about you?

I'd say to expect to pay around/ at least $1500 each to move them. I've never dabbled I'm converting business mobiles to residential

Manufactured properties aren't built to code and in the same fashion as a stick built house. So adding on a kitchen and bath may literally require whole new plumbing because mobiles used old style plastic cheap stuff that rots away and you can't fix or add toi. 

If you're looking at cheap start up this may not be it. They may require thousands each to make livable.

Check the age too for moving them they look older and a lot of transport companies won't move older homes because its not safe

    @Shaniqua Dupree tough to provide a definitive answer, as it depends on a lot of variables.  Before getting into any of the variables with regards to the trailers themselves... questions you need to consider are:

    1) How much will it cost to move the trailers?

    2) Where will you move them to?

    3) If to property you don't own, what will be the lot rent?  If you own property, is it already set up for the trailers?

    Etc.

    As you can see from the above few questions... there's nothing 'free' about the trailers.  You will incur expenses in moving the trailers, setting them up, etc.  Clearly, the current owner has determined that the value to him/her is less than the ~$10K it would cost to move them.  Whether they are of value to you is a completely different issue, but you need to answer the above before moving onto potential costs inside the trailers (for example, do they have bedrooms, kitchen, cabinets, etc.).

    It might be good to contact someone at a nearby trailer park.  You could ask them about the cost to lease land, and I'd imagine they know people who can move them for you  They might know someone who specializes in renovating trailers that could give you a good idea of costs.

    They look half way decent to me.  The way these look-they will not work for a park but, would be great for someone that might be able to use them for migrant housing, hunting camp or for a temporary work/construction office. 

    Check with the owner and see if they can stay where there are for a couple of more weeks.  Go out and look at them-take measurements of the outside and a bunch of better pics-then go out and do a better job of advertising than the owner and at a profit!!

    I don't have facts, but my gut tells me it won't be economically feasible to turn them into legal living units.

    Put them under contract and contact local builders. Maybe you can have the buyer move them. Over terms to the buyer (or a lease/option).

    Perhaps a local school needs temporary office space.

    I have no idea what to do with those, but if I had a deer lease (land for hunting) here in TX, one of those would be AWESOME.  Good luck!

    I'd try to contact some trade services that do large construction projects, but are more of a ma and pa based operation. Big projects that need lots of time commitment often need that office space and generally these construction companies have the ability to probably move these trailers from site to site themselves. Big construction equipment means big trust to pull big loads.
