What are "BP Referrals"?

The only thing I found when performing a search referenced people you invite via email (not applicable here).

On my profile page it shows I have 1 referral:

The link shows I have referred Norm. I'm sure Norm is a great guy, but I have no idea who he is and he joined way before me. Anyone familiar with this feature? What is its purpose? How is i used? What did I refer Norm for?

Dave - Referrals are what you said . . . people you referred to the site. Looks like there's a problem. We'll have a look and will get this rectified shortly.

I think it is what you said is not applicable - somebody who you invited to join BP. Seems odd that you would be a newer member than your referral!

If it helps I am pretty sure I know who I invited that registered, ie, who that link should be mapped to...
