Guest Policy/Duration of Stay

Cassia G.
Posted

I have in my lease that guests of tenants are allowed to stay no longer than 14 days. My tenants’ parents visit occasionally from out of the country and stay for a few months at a time. They’re asking me to revise this clause to allow their parents to visit without any issue. Anyone see a reason why I shouldn’t allow this? I’m in NY state and am not sure if allowing a guest to stay for longer than 30 days will come back to bite me. Thanks in advance!
