Beginner Real Estate Agent!

Brittany Tafuna
Posted

Hello! I’m ready to begin taking steps in becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent in Austin, but there are SO many courses to choose from. Does anyone recommend either an actual in person course, or an online one?? And reasons of which you found one or the other to be more beneficial?

@Brittany Tafuna talk to Keller Williams in Austin and they can give you discounts for all of them. I did the CE shop online. They can also train you how to ACTUALLY be a realtor when you’re done with the courses too.

@Brittany Tafuna I am doing Real Estate Express - I am done with 5 courses, 1 more to go, did it all in less than 5 weeks. It is online, at your pace, and honestly, way cheaper than other options.  I paid about $250 for all.  I have a full time job so going to classes was time consuming, good luck! Let me know if you need any help.

Brittany - I found my online course in Florida on Groupon actually! lol It was only $45, and it thoroughly prepared me for the state exam.  Most state exams are very heavy in law and very light on how to actually be an agent, so be sure that you find a solid brokerage that will get you great training available on your time as well as 1-on-1 mentorship.  Best of luck!!!

Hey @Brittany Tafuna , congrats on taking steps in becoming a licensed agent! Austin is considered by many to be a great real estate market so Im sure the opportunities are endless! I took an online course when I was studying for my exam with Train Agent. It depends on everyone's personal preference but from what I've noticed with online courses you are able to manage your own time and will not be tied down to the restraints of the classroom hours while in person classes offers networking opportunities with other aspiring/new agents. If you're interested I can tell you more about the online course that I took, it might have an unfavorable review online but I was able to pass my exam with no problems!
