Air BNB in Las Vegas

I just stayed with some friends at a house in Enterprise (Southwest Las Vegas) that was an Air Bnb. I was told that Air BNB at residential houses was illegal in Vegas. Any real estate professionals in Vegas have any insight? I know you can Air BNB the condo-hotels at the MGM or the Palms, but I’m sure there are specific loan requirements for those. Any insight anybody?
