HELP!!! College Research Paper on Housing and Mortgage Fraud

I'm a college senior taking a fraud seminar class, and our final assignment is to write a research paper on a fraud topic of our choosing. Being interested in real estate, I chose housing and mortgage fraud. I've been conducting a lot of research, and I've learned a lot about the various types of fraud related to the industry.

In an effort to improve my paper and make it more interesting, I want to know if any BP members would be willing to share any stories of fraud instances they've encountered throughout their investment journey. I think a lot can be gleamed from real world examples, and it will be valuable to learn from other's experiences. Please comment with anything you would be willing to share to help out a college student and the rest of the BP community.

Thanks!
