Health Insurance

i am just starting out in the real estate business. I live in ny, ny. I have never had to go outside a company and purchase insurance on my own. I am looking for helpful advice for paying health insurance out of pocket. If your in NYC, a company name would be great too..

thanks

It is scary when you pay your own health insurance for the first time. Healthnet, BlueCross are 2 that I've used in the past. I don't think Kaiser is out there. Just jump online and look up health insurance.

It gets a bit confusing, so be prepared. The main choice you'll have to make is deciding if you're going to go with an HMO or PPO option.

Good luck!

I've been self-employed for about 12 years now. We've been using Assurant for the past couple of years. We have HIGH deductible because we only want to insure things that we don't want to cover ourselves.

I would actually go higher on my deductible if they offered it. On our houses we use 3% deductible.

all cash
