Secured vs unsecured debt
Just a note of caution. This morning I was listening to a popular real estate investing podcast and they were discussing the many ways to finance a deal and step to get you finances in order before diving into REI. The host purposed the idea of using a HELOC to pay off your high interest credit card (17%). YIKES, I am not telling you how to manage your funds but please understand the difference between secured and unsecured debt before thinking this strategy is right for you.
